Anthony R. Our EIS is on the golf course. It will impact the salt marsh, and that will cause many animals, like fish and insects, to lose their protection. It will also lose it's "shock absorber" quality.
Our EIS development scenario is the Golf Course. This would affect the salt marsh habitat. This development will effect the salt marsh in many ways. First I agree Anthony R., many fish will definitely lose their protection. Many poor, small, baby fish will die out because their predators can easily catch up to them and eat them. The salt marsh is a safe place such as a nursery to protect all the smaller fishes. If a fish is swimming away from its predator it can quickly move to the salt marsh and its predator can not reach between all the plants growing there. Another way this would affect this habitat is it would flood out too much and not absorb the crashing waves on the shoreline. As Anthony mentioned the "shock absorber" or as we discussed in class it is like a pillow.
Well the Maine state pier it would effect the rocky shore habitat because all the pollution would hurt the animals in this habitat like the oil, copper, and trash and metal from things falling off of boats and things so it would make this habitat a harsh living place for all the animals that live there.
My EIS development is the golf course the habitat it will affect is salt marsh. I also agree with Anthony that many of the fish in the salt marsh will lose their protection. Also that many baby and small fish will die.

Our EIS would impact the water habitat. The reason why is because we have the oil rig and we put that in the water.
